Seasonal Plant Pest and Diseases with Master Gardener Lois Stevens at the Landmarks Art & Garden Center, 841 Tiburon Blvd., Tiburon. Using case studies from the Master Gardener Help Desk, Stevens will discuss common problems in the winter garden, how to prevent them and what to do when they occur. Bring your questions. Wednesday, March 7: 10-11 am Container Gardening with Master Gardener Sherry Rogers at the Landmarks Art & Garden Center, 841 Tiburon Blvd., Tiburon. Planting in containers offers solutions to many gardening problems -- lack of space or sun, poor soil, limited access and other challenges. From entries and stairways to patios and decks, there are plenty of spots and uses for pots. Learn how to give plants what they need. Choose from annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs and other plants suited for containers in our Marin climate. The public is welcome. No charge.

Wednesday, April 4: 10-11 am Habitat Gardening with Master Gardener Dave Phelps at the Landmarks Art & Garden Center, 841 Tiburon Blvd., Tiburon. To create a hospitable habitat for birds, butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects, home gardeners need to provide food, water and shelter. Learn how easy it is to attract pollinators to your garden, what plants they like and how you can enlist good bugs in your battle against bad bugs. The public is welcome. No charge.

WALK YOUR HISTORY DAY -2009

On April 5th, over 1,000 local community residents ranging from children in strollers to active seniors enjoyed the Walk Your History event! After the tours then everyone gathered at the Belvedere Community Park for a free barbeque.

The three walking loops that were available to the public are shown below with the directions on how everyone toured that day.
